Time flies

Indeed, Tiago remembered me again that i have not posted anything new since January. Wow, time flies when you are enjoying life. I guess i have to be happy for that single reason. On the other side, we seem to be always rushing time, to accomplish something which lies ahead, not giving as much attention to the present moment. And we should, because in fact, the real time is now, the present, there is no future....but that's another story....

Message: Enjoy the present at least as much as you spend thinking about the future.

Big Hugs!

2 important ideas...

1. "if you love what you do, you could be one of the few privileged human beings who says «i wish it was already Monday», instead of saying «i wish it was already Saturday»"

2. "don´t become slave of the necessity to be sucessful, otherwise you´ll be condemning yourself to failure."

See you tomorrow....

Filantropic thought Euromillions

this was the first post in the blog, now translated:

in a talk today with my father, I raised the idea of in the eventuality of gaining the first prize in euromillions, would be funny, to divide at least 50 % of the prize with a number of people, I spoke in 100 people. i would find 100 people to who i wanted to give in this way 0,5 % of the total value. could be family, friends, known or any person. it could even be officially implemented this rule, to when the prize exceeds a base value, imagining the base prize of 10 million. 5 would be distributed by who we decided. each on would get 50000 euros. would not be interesting? if an average family is constituted by about 2,6 people, this would be equivalent to be helping 260 people. still gets you with 5 milhoes, that still seems a gigantic amount to manage. this without jackpot. therefore if the prize was of 50 million, would get with 25 and others as much to divide, about 250000 euros for each one of the others.

(sorry about the awful semi corrected altavista translation...)

Euro Multiples

I´ll start using multiples instead of simple bets in lottery. some people prefer simple bets and some multiple. if you are exponentially raising your chances instead of suming them up and along the road, when you actually win some prize, it won´t be a single one (single bet) but a combination of several different prizes, it looks better to me. of course you´ll pay more (if you always play only one bet), but finding one or two persons willing to divide the cake, still get you in your traditional amount. for those who play several simple bets, playing a multiple will raise their winnings (in my point of view)
example: in a simple bet, in the tradictional lottery of 6 in 49, winning a last prize in portugal gives you around 2 € with a minimal bet of 0,8 € (that´s being right 3 in 49, with 6 crosses) about 2,5 times more. with the cheapest multiple, being 2,8 € you´ll get 4 last prizes, adding to around 8 € which is 2,85 times more. it´s the same percentage, but with lot more chances of winning. but getting 4 crosses, it´s 1 prize of 4 crosses against 3 prizes of 4crosses plus 4 prizes of 3 crosses. something around 12 € (single 4 crosses) to 44 €. again the percentage is almost the same, but i assume you divide it with some more people, not only you. even if are the only one, it still raise your chances, because you are playing with more crosses, right?
think it over
want to make a society?

Life Jobs

i find extremely hard to know exactly what we like and enjoy doing everyday for a professional living. i can say from where i am now, with an architectural degree in my hands (and how hard it was!...) i still don´t know where i am going. do you? i always thought it would be easier, but all that naive feelings are now long gone.
at the exact hour i'm writing this, i'm jobeless, with two strong opportunities, waiting for someone to call, one of them is for a stock market trader and the other one for a life insurance salesman. who would figure that? i didn't. but the dreams of white sharpe walls seems no longer for me.
i'll be around
always happy, always striving for something better, always dancing

First Lottery of 2007....

Achei uma boa ideia postar aqui o bilhete. Logo, veremos.

euromilhoes.euromillions
